Sony Bravia Picture Quality

Sony’s awesome Motionflow technology vastly improves the images you see on your LCD TV. This is achieved by showing extra frames between each picture. Other inferior technologies repeat the image between pictures, which can lead to a jarring effect. The Motionflow is more advanced than this, and predicts what the next picture will be like based on the current image. It then inserts between two – four extra frames per second to produce a crystal clear, smooth image.

The Bravia Engine has been around for some time, but the Bravia Engine 3 is a significant advance with new processing hardware and software.

This technological innovation has resulted in a number of significant improvements:

Detail – Watch an action sequence or a football match and you can really feel like you’re in the thick of the action. This is thanks to the Bravia Engine’s noise reduction, which produces colourful images in minute detail.

Colour – Ever wonder why your Sony Bravia displays colours more vividly than any other machine? It’s all down a new technology which optimizes the colour distribution on a frame by frame basis. So the picture has been enhanced and optimized before it even arrives on the screen.

Contrast – The light levels on some LCD TVs can put a real strain on the viewers eyes. The Sony Bravia Engine 3 produces more detail, sharper pictures and detailed images even when the scene is naturally bright.
